Teacher Background: I am a resident of Johnston County and I am very active in the community. I have been a Girl Scout leader for 15 years and a Boy Scout leader / merit badge counselor for 18 years. I am orginally from upstate New York. I graduated from SUNY Delhi with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. I received my Bachelors degree from SUNY Cobleskill in Animal Science. I graduated from NC State's NC TEACH program for lateral entry teachers. Most recently I earned my Master's degree in science education from WGU. I have taught at Miller-Motte college in Raleigh for their Veterinary Technology program, teaching Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Veterinary medical terminology, small animal husbandry and introduction to veterinary technology. At SSS I have taught Biology, Physical Science and Honors Biology. I think learning should be fun so I try to include lots of engaging labs and activties.
