Welcome Back to Smithfield Selma High School for the 2019-2020 school year. 

My name is Christine Darrow and I look forward to teaching and guiding students as they grow academically and linguistically throughout the school year.

In addition to improving upon academic language skills, students will also receive instructional support to succeed in their various content-area coursework. 

Professional Background

I graduated from East Carolina University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in English and began teaching high school English after graduation.

In 2007, I added a second professional educator's license in K-12 English as a Second Language and have enjoyed working with English Learners ever since.
