FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE TEACHER

Currently teaching the following classes for Fall/Spring 2020/2021

Foods and Nutrition II

Culinary Arts and Hospitality I/II

I returned to NC and started my career in teaching after being away for many years.  I love teaching high school students and I love teaching at SSS!  The 20-21 school year will be my 6th year teaching at SSS. This year is certainly different from any other but we will grow and learn through it together!

I'm excited to be sharing my classroom with you as we learn about the many aspects of Food and Nutrition and Culinary Arts

Disclaimer:  This is NOT a 'cooking' class

It is my goal to provide you with the tools to understand food safety and sanitation, methods of preparing food, terminology, nutrition, careers in the food industry and yes, we will showcase our knowledge in the lab!
