Mrs. Amanda Astoske
Welcome to business/marketing! I graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Managament. After graduation, I worked as the Sales and Marketing Manager for the Johnston County Visitors Bureau for six years. My husband and I are originally from Southport, NC where we love to still visit and see family. We now call Johnston County home where we are raising three children. I have been teaching at SSS since February 2015. I enjoy working with students and bringing real-world experiences into the classroom.
As a Career and Technical Education teacher, my business and marketing classes are mostly project-based to prepare students to be successful in their future careers. I am also the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) advisor which is a co-curricular club. I encourage students to join this club because it provides leadership opportunities and community-service projects. I am passionate about teaching and helping students grow and develop and connect classroom learning to their surroundings. I am proud to be a Spartan!
