Ms. Sarah W. Anderson
For the period of Learning @ Home, my office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
I will answer emails during office hours. I will be using Google Classroom for announcements and assignments.
Learning @ Home can be found on the school webpage, and the same AVID lessons for Learning @ Home are posted in your AVID Google Classroom.
AVID Advancement Via Individual Determination - How will you move forward?
I am a graduate of Meredith College and North Carolina State University. I have been teaching for 16 plus years. I strive to ensure that every student reaches his or her fullest potential. I believe that content is important. I also believe it is important for us to learn to work with one another - to acknowledge and celebrate our diversity, our strengths, and our talents and to work together on those areas that might need additional support.
In addition to AVID, I am the co-advisor with Ms. Spivey, for the Smithfield Middle National Junior Honor Society.

The Johnston County Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Tuesday, April 27. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and be held in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield.
