  • Academic Goal For JCPS

    By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of Johnston County Public Schools will earn a school letter grade of A, B, or C.

    Polenta Elementary School Improvement Plan

    Goal 1:  Polenta ES will improve overall content proficiency by 6 percentage points from 52% to 58% by June 2002. (A 4.01)

    - Math by 6 percentage points from 49.3 to 55.3%

    - Science by 3 percentage points from 75.4% to 78.4%

    - Reading by 18 percentage points from 37%(pending 4th and 5th grade reading scores) to 55% 

     

    Goal 2:  Polenta ES increase overall proficiency for students in the following subgroup: Student with Disabilities will increase from 15.3% to 20.3%; EL will increase from 16.9% to 26.9 percent; Hispanic subgroup from 33.5% to38% (A 4.01)

     

    Goal 3:  By June 2022, students will increase Sense of Belonging from 71%-80% as reported by Panorama data.
