Mrs. Kristie Lawrence
Hello! Bonjour! Hola! Greetings and Salutations!
My name is Kristie Lawrence. I am a 2002 recipient of an Associate of Arts degree from Johnston Community College and a 2004 Graduate of NC State University in Raleigh, NC. I was a teacher at Broughton IB Magnet High School in Raleigh, NC before moving to Smithfield in 2005. I am about halfway finished with my Masters Degree in English Education at Campbell University. I have completed certification in IB, AVID, AIG, and EOG Question Writing. Since moving to Smithfield, NC, with my husband, Andy, and my son, Van, I have been teaching middle school. I have enjoyed teaching a variety of grade levels at Corinth Holders (k-8), Archer Lodge Middle (6-8), and Smithfield Middle (6-8, enhancement). My family and I are lovers of Wolfpack and WVU Mountaineer Football and Basketball! We enjoy vacationing in Hinton, WV, at every opportunity throughout the years. We are all avid fishermen and woman. :) We also enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, and water sports. During the fall we are heavily invested with the Spartan Regiment Band at SSS. My son is in 10th grade this year and is part of the IB Program, so please ask me about IB! I am here to help you achieve your dreams! If you ever have a question or need assistance, call or email me. I am available until 5:30 pm on most weekdays for virtual meetings. I also am willing to schedule virtual meetings on Sundays when needed. I hope this year will be your best year EVER!

Happy Fall Y'all!
We are hard at work in our Narrative Unit! So, we are working very diligently on writing and using proper grammar and punctuation. We are also reading different samples of Narrative Writing. This Unit is about the events we live through and the stories we tell about them. So, talk to your student about an experience he/she has lived through and help them focus on the details and specific actions involved.
Enjoy your time together!
