I hope everyone has a great summer! Here's a little about me. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico. I have been an ESL teacher since 1995. I moved to North Carolina in 1999. I obtained my Bachelor degree in Mexico as well as a Master in Education. I have a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have 3 wonderful daughters. I enjoy shopping, cooking and traveling. Smithfield Middle is a great school to work at!

 Espero que hayan tenido un buen verano! Yo naci en Monterrey, Mexico. He sido maestra de Ingles desde 1995. Desde 1999 vivo en Carolina del Norte. En Mexico obtuve mi licenciatura y maestria en educacion. En junio del 2015 obtuve mi segunda maestra en curriculum e instruccion. Tengo 3 hijas maravillosas. Me gusta ir de compras, cocinar, y viajar. Esta escuela es un gran lugar de trabajo.

  • Innovative Programs Virtual Family Information Nights Scheduled

    Johnston County Public Schools invites students and their families to learn more about our interesting options for our middle and high school students during our Virtual Information Nights on January 28 and February 4, 2021. Participants will be able to visit the virtual spaces for each program and talk with program coordinators and students from 6:00-8:00 pm.

  • JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students

    The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

  • High School State Assessments Update

    On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.
