Mrs. Candace Swain
Hi, my name is Candace Swain and I am excited to be your child's 5th grade teacher for the 2021 - 2022 school year! This will be my 16th year teaching at South Smithfield Elementary. I grew up here in Smithfield and attended SSE myself! My husband and I have a 9 year old daughter, Presleigh, and a 6 year old son, Camden. I love the beach, spending time with family, all things Harry Potter & Disney, Duke basketball, and being a teacher! I am a SSS graduate ℅ 2002! I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2006 & a Master’s Degree in Education in 2008 from Campbell University. I am also AIG certified.
I love to hear from parents throughout the year. Please always contact me with questions or concerns. I would also love to hear from you if you are available to volunteer. ☺
