Mrs. Ann Tart

Welcome to my Strings Page!  Johnston County Public Schools offers beginning strings classes (violin) to students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  I am honored to be a Strings Teacher!

I teach at eight schools in the county:  Meadow School, Benson Elementary, Four Oaks Elementary, McGee's Elementary, Dixon Road Elementary, West Smithfield Elementary, South Smithfield Elementary, and Selma Elementary.  I serve all eight schools within each week.

During the first week of school, I visit all of my schools and speak with all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.  Those students who are interested in the program will receive an information sheet to be completed by a parent and returned to the homeroom teacher.  I compile my classes from these forms.  I will attach one to this website as well.

During the second week of school, I will send home a note with class day, time, and location.

I hope to begin class by the third week of school!

Parents are responsible for acquiring a violin and music book for their child.  The attached information sheet has more details.

Please feel free to email me with any question at all!

Thanks for your interest in the Strings Program!
