Hi,

I am originally from Georgia but I have lived in several states and recently moved here from Asheville. After traveling during most of my twenties, I decided that I was finally ready to pursue my degree in education. I graduated from the University North Carolina Asheville in 2012 with my degree in high school social studies. 

My wife and I enjoy spending most of our free time with our 6 and 4 year old daughters. Before our children were born we spent our time working in National Parks and traveling around the United States and backpacked across Thailand. I have always enjoyed participating in sports and most recently bicycled the entire Blue Ridge Parkway and completed a full iron man. 

I hope that our classroom can be a space that will encourage students to achieve their goals inside and outside of the classroom. My desire is for students to be able to use the knowledge gained in our class as a foundation for life after graduation. I am excited about the journey we will take together at West Johnston High School!!

    The Johnston County Education Foundation has changed its grant process from a three cycle a year process, to a once a year process. The grant deadline will now be November 15th each year and Grant Patrol will be held on the first Wednesday of December.
