Mrs. Kimberly Drown

I am excited about beginning my 24th year of teaching during the 2022-2023  school year. I am a native of Asheville, N.C. and made Johnston County and West Johnston High School my home in 2007.   I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in History,  Political Science and International Studies. While working for a multinational corporation, I discovered my love of working with young adults by training them in a workforce readiness program. After receiving Social Studies Education Certification in 1999, I began my teaching career at Brevard High School in beautiful Transylvania County, N.C.  In 2008, I completed a Master in Liberal Arts with a concentration in curriculum design. I enjoy spending time with my family in the outdoors. A few of my favorite activities are gardening, hiking, kayaking, biking and swimming. I look forward to working with each WILDCAT and their families during this school year.  *Supplies under course tab.
