Ms. Heather Earp

Hi- I am a native of Johnston County and attended SSS before graduating from the NC School of Science and Math. After high school, I attended East Carolina University as a NC Teaching Fellow, where I obtained my BS degree in Science Education. This is my 17th year in the Science Department at West Johnston High School. I am a proud Kenan Fellow through NCSU, having completed research and curriculum development on Sustainable Forestry and Biotechnology, and obtained my NC K-12 AIG licensure through Campbell University.  I have also been a Reader for the AP Environmental Science exam since 2010.

  • Free Preschool for four-year-olds through the NC PreK Program

    Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.

  • Middle and High School Spring 2020 Grading Options Form

    High school students and middle school students enrolled in high school courses will be given an option on how their grade appears on their transcript. Students should complete the form for their school to make their choice.

  • Graduation Plans Announced

    JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
