Ms. Heather Earp
Hi- I am a native of Johnston County and attended SSS before graduating from the NC School of Science and Math. After high school, I attended East Carolina University as a NC Teaching Fellow, where I obtained my BS degree in Science Education. This is my 18th year in the Science Department at West Johnston High School. I am a proud Kenan Fellow through NCSU, having completed research and curriculum development on Sustainable Forestry and Biotechnology, and obtained my NC K-12 AIG licensure through Campbell University. I have also been a Reader for the AP Environmental Science exam since 2010, and a Table Leader for the exam since 2020.
Outside of school, I love to travel, and have traveled with WJ students since 2016. Our upcoming planned trips are to Scotland/Ireland, and Germany/Switzerland/Italy/France. I spend most of my weekends and summers as a volunteer with Carolina Tiger Rescue, where I am a tour guide, summer camp counserlor, and adoptive parent. I am also a weaver, and work as a crasftman in the NC State Fair's Village of Yesteryear.
Ms. Earp :)
