After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in English Literature and Psychology, I earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching from East Carolina University. I began my thirteen-year teaching career in Goldsboro at Eastern Wayne High School where I was Beginning Teacher of the Year, and moved to West Johnston in 2013 where I was named Johnston County Teacher of the Year in 2014. Teaching is my passion, and I could not imagine any other career that would let me be as creative, energetic, and challenged. I am an avid reader and student of the world. Let's get ready to learn!
