Cheri Crabtree is a certified dance educator through the Carolina Dance Masters chapter of Dance Master's of America since 2004, and is an active member of the National Dance Education Organization where she continues to develop in her field annually. Within NDEO, Mrs. Crabtree serves as the treasurer for the North Carolina Dance Education Organization, is a K-12 forum moderator for the national platform, and a national adjudicator for NHSDA's Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Performing Arts and Dance with 20 years of professional experience including dance entrepreneurship, dance and theatre performance, dance pedagogy for ages 2-adult , dance competition adjudication, choreography and team coaching, as well as, direction of dance programs, musical theatre productions and benefit programs in multiple counties.

As an educator, Mrs. Crabtree strives to develop dance students intellectually and artistically as expressive self motivators to appreciate, advocate for, and succeed in dance and fine arts, whether as a career choice or a recreational benefit.  She has led dancers to national winning ranks and guided students to successful careers.  You can find her students in LA, NYC and Chicago, yet they are also amazing studio owners and teachers right outside your back door. 

"I strive to instill a sense of accountability, responsibility, discipline, passion, and artistic ability through the art of dance in all students. Seeing a new passion and appreciation of an art form grow, while developing body awareness, and succeeding in skills or tasks students have never engaged in is a beautiful experience. This will be my 7th year at West, and I can't wait to see what the new year holds!  I am a wife of 15 years, have a 9 year old son named, Ayden,  a 4 year old Yorkie Poo named "Reece Cup", and a 2 year old Boston Terrier named "Millie Vanillie".
