Mrs. Tori Tigges

Welcome!  My name is Tori Tigges and I am the music teacher at WSES.  This is my fourth year teaching music at West Smithfield Elementary School, and I am so excited!  For information about chorus, click on "Eagles Center Stage" on the left.  For information on each grade level or biomes, separate pages are also listed on the left.

About Me:  I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I specialized in playing the flute, and participated in the Raleigh Area Flute Association as well as the Cape Fear Wind Symphony. I did my student teaching at an elementary school in Harnett County and practicum experience with middle school band in Sampson County. My goal is to introduce students to many different types of music; we will learn about everything from radio-pop music to Beethoven and Mozart to exotic instruments from around the world.
