Hello Parents and Students.

Welcome to the world of exercise! I am so pleased to have the opportunity to be able to teach physical education at West Smithfield Elementary. Exercise has always been a passion of mine and I feel very fortunate to be able to share my passion with our students here.

Over the course of this school year your child will be involved in many exciting activities and learning new skills through my instruction and demonstration.

During PE I encourage good health habits by exercising, eating healthy, and getting plenty of rest. I hope that your child will learn many tips to help them throughout their life. It's proven that children who exercise regularly perform better in school. As a parent you can help your child by encouraging them to be involved in activities such as walking, biking, jogging, rope skipping, swimming, etc.

It is very important that your child  comes to PE class prepared to participate in the appropriate shoes and clothes.  Your child should wear their tennis shoes and comfortable fitting clothes  for PE. Please refer to the PE schedule for your child's PE day.

Please contact me if you have any concerns regarding your child's participation in PE.
