Mrs. Jeannette Parrish

None of us has ever experienced this situation before, so it has definitely been a challenge.  We have made it to the end of the school year.  Sadly, since this is 5th grade, you will be moving on in your educational life.  I have truly enjoyed working with all of you through the last 3 years and you have left a major mark on my life.  I will miss you greatly, but I hope that I have helped you be ready for the next phase in your lives.  Please continue to work hard, be kind to others, and set your goals high.  Remember, you can do whatever you put your mind to.  Enjoy this summer break and do not forget to keep in touch with me so that I can help you celebrate your future successes.  I love you all deeply and will never forget our time together.  Go forward and make a wonderful difference in the world.

  • Homework for the Week:

During this difficult time, we have attempted to provide work for the students that will be review.  We have two formats at this time.  All students with internet access and a device will find their assignments on Google Classroom.  They will also be able to complete their allotted time on Lexia each day.

For those students that have internet access but do not have a device, the school is working diligently to provide a plan so that students can check out a device from school.  A connect ed communication will be done by Mrs. Bryant as this becomes available.

Packets have been made available at school with materials to complete through Spring Break.  We are currently working on materials for the period from April 20 through May 1.  These are already available on Google Classroom and will be available for pickup from school when Mrs. Bryant sends another Connect Ed call.

In the meantime, I have connected my cell phone and email with the school phone.  If you need to contact me, just call (919) 989-6418.  When prompted or asked for an extension, input or say 6332.  This call will then be forwarded to me.

I hope that all of my students are doing well.  I miss them and wish I could see them in person.  We will be sending information through Google Classroom and through the students' school email accounts attempting to set up Google Meet calls where students can participate either with a device or a cell phone.  Check daily for upcoming calls.

Please stay safe and call if you need me.  Other sites are available for other types of assistance as well. Our Social and Emotional Learning team has a site,  Please contact them as needed.
