Ms. Anessa Rummel

Hello! I am so excited to say that I've worked here at West Smithfield Elementary School for 16 years!  I taught Kindergarten for 12 years and for the past few years have move positions and became Certified to teach Special Education, as the Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade Resource Teacher.    I love the students and families here, I also love to see my past students when they come back and visit!!

I graduated from Central Michigan University and then went on to receive my Teaching Certification in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University.  I moved down from Michigan in 2005, and fell in love with North Carolina.  I would take the heat over Michigan winters any day!  I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter.  She keeps me busy with travel softball tournaments, and school sports.  When we have a break from that, we love to take day trips and go exploring around the state.
