Mrs. Schott

I grew up in rural Central New York State, and moved to NC in 2005.  I come from a large family and love the country.  I have been married for 19 years, and am the mommy of two little boys and 2 dogs.  I love reading books, baking, going on hikes, and camping.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (PreK-6), Master of Science degree in Education (K-6), and Master of Arts degree in School Administration.  I taught preschool, fourth grade, and fifth grade for 12 years.  I am so excited to continue working here at Meadow as an Assistant Principal.

I feel strongly that it takes a village to raise a child.  Everyone here at Meadow has the childrens' best interests at heart.  We hope to work with our families to raise intelligent, responsible, hard working, and caring individuals.  If you ever need me, feel free to stop by, call, or send me an e-mail.

My name is Tami Poland one of the assistant principals here at Meadow.  I get to work with mainly with Meadow's Middle School.  I am a wife of 24 years to my husband, Bill and mom to three kids.  My oldest daughter, Taylor is studying at App State, McKenzie is studying at UNC- Chapel Hill and my son is a freshmen at Corinth Holders High.  I taught for 11 years in grades from K to 6th grade and loved every second.  I believe in engaging instruction that facilitate students learning through discovery and hands on.  I was an assistant principal at Cooper Academy in Clayton for 4 years before coming here to Meadow.

I am a breast cancer survivor who embraces every moment and what it holds.  Life is much too short.  I love the color pink and wear it proudly as a reminder that I am a survivor.  I pray my story helps others going through challenging situations.  I enjoy kayaking on the weekends, reading (I'm addicted to books), and spending time with my family playing games.

Enjoy life.  Embrace what it holds.  Push forward.  Inspire others.
