Degrees and Certifications:
Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of becoming a teacher. I would spend my afternoons and summers playing school with all of my stuffed animals. I am so excited that my dream is now coming true. I cannot imagine spending my day doing anything else but teaching!
I graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Science in 2011. Go Wolfpack! This will be my eleventh year at West Clayton. I taught kindergarten for five years and this will be my sixth year in first grade.
I love to cook, read, watch movies, watch football (especially NCSU football), and spend time with my family. My favorite color is red and my favorite food is ice cream.
On December 20, 2014 I married my husband, Johnathan Lee! He loves visiting school and will stop by the classroom sometimes. We have one son, Wallace Lee, who brings a lot of joy to our lives. In November, he will be two.
At a Special Session meeting on Oct. 27, the Johnston County Board of Education approved the following calendar changes: adding two wellness days and an optional teacher work day to the district’s November calendar.
At their August meeting, the Johnston County Board of Education voted 4-3 to make face coverings required indoors in all Johnston County Public Schools campuses and on all buses for students, staff, and guests. This updated mask requirement is effective immediately.
