Meet Mrs. Kerstetter


Hello.  My name is Rachel Kerstetter and I am a 4th Grade Math/Science teacher at West Clayton Elementary.  This year will be my 19th year as an educator.  I previously  taught 3rd grade for five years in Memphis, TN before moving to North Carolina where I have spent the last 13 years of my career at West Clayton.  During my time here I have taught 3rd grade for 11 of those years and served as the Curriculum Coach for two years.  This year I am excited to be a part of the 4th Grade Team!


 Hometown:  Nashville, TN


Edcuation:  I  received my Batchelor of Science in Business Administration from Union University in 1995.  I received my Master's of Arts in Elementary Education from Christian Brother's University in 2002.  I received my Master's in School Administration/Curriculum Specialist from East Carolina University in 2010.  


Family:  I have been married to my husband, David, for 22 years.  We have two children.  My son, Brandon, is 20 years old and is currently attending East Carolina University.  My daughter, Sara, is 12 years old and is in the 7th grade this year.  I also have adorable dog, Seger.



Interests:  I love to read in my spare time.
