Hi! I am Mrs. Hoyt and I teach 3rd Grade Math and Language Arts. This is my fourth year in 3rd grade but my 11th year teaching at West Clayton. I received my BA in Elementary Education, American Studies, and Special Education in New Jersey from the College of Saint Elizabeth in 2009. I am certified in Gifted Education as well. This will be my 11th year teaching. I am married to my husband and have been for almost 11 years. We have two daughters, Amelia Grace, who just turned 7 and Emma Claire who is 4months old. I am orginally from Hamburg, New Jersey (the northern part of Jersey) and moved down to North Carolina in November of 2011. I visit my family in New Jersey often - my in-laws, my sister, and my grandparents are still up there. My parents live in Myrtel Beach so I see them pretty often.  A few of my favorite things are Pigs, whales, Starbucks, Dr. Pepper, Superhereos, Harry Potter, I love to cook/bake, and spend time with my family. My husband is a big runner, he runs ultra-marathons, Amelia and I love to go watch him run. Teaching is something I have always wanted to do since I was little, it is something that I am truly passionate about and I love what each and every student brings to my classroom each and everyday
