Welcome, 3rd graders, to The Greatest School! This will be my 15th year teaching and fourth here at WCES. This year is shaping up to be the best one yet! I'm excited to be part of a school community that is committed to putting students first.
Outside of school, I am a mother of two girls who both go to school here- Emily is in 5th grade and Katelyn is in 2nd. I have a husband, Mike. I have a pet dog, two cats, a hermit crabs, and a turtle- George- who hangs out here in our classroom. I love to read, and paint. I also run, hike, and cycle. My happy place is anywhere outdoors. I love camping. I'm really into yoga! I LOVE coffee, peaches, and cherries.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students and their families as we journey together through the third grade year!
Teaching is my passion. I love what I do and my goal this year is to give my students the tools to be motivated self-learners. Thank you for your support in this.
With much love,

Johnston County Public Schools is in the business of providing a holistic educational experience that affirms and prepares our students for successful lives by teaching not only academic disciplines but how to treat one another. We are aware of recent social media posts and other unacceptable actions that have brought attention to racial and political insensitivity, which this school district does not condone.
