Education: University of Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Criminal Justice, Teacher Certification from East Carolina University.

 

Teaching Experience: I have been at West Clayton Elementary since 1998. I was a Kindergarten assistant teacher my first two years. I taught 3rd grade for 17 years and this will be my 5th year in 4th grade.

 

Family: Married 39 years to Robin with 3 children (James, Jenna and Jonathan) and 5 grandchildren (Benjamin, Evelyn, Graham, Olivia, and Jamison). Little Bit and Fluzzy are my indoor cats and Orange Cat is my outdoor cat.


Interests: Playing Word With Friends and Suduko, walking on the beach, collecting sea shells, collecting Gingerbread items and Hallmark Christmas ornaments, bird watching ,flower gardening, and riding motorcycles.

  • JCPS to implement state-of-the-art security systems

    At the November Regular Session Board of Education meeting, the Board voted unanimously to improve safety and security in Johnston County Public Schools by implementing state-of-the-art security systems in each of the district’s schools.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
