Education: University of Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Criminal Justice, Teacher Certification from East Carolina University.

Teaching Experience: I have been at West Clayton Elementary since 1998. I was a Kindergarten teacher assistant my first two years, I taught 3rd grade for 17 years and I have taught 4th grade for two years .

Family: Married 36 years to Robin with 3 children.

James is married to Vanessa and are parents to my 15month old year old grandson Graham.
Jenna is married to Ryan and are parents to Benjamin (my five year old grandson)and Evelyn (my two year old granddaughter)
Jonathan is married to Mandy and are parents to my 1 year old granddaughter Olivia.

Little Bit and Fluzzy are my indoor cats and Orange Cat is my outdoors cat.

Interests: Playing Word With Friends and Suduko, walking on the beach, collecting sea shells. collecting Gingerbread items and Hallmark Christmas ornaments, bird watching ,flower gardening, and riding motorcyles.

Favorite Candy: Hershey's chocolate bars, Pearson's Peppermint Patties, Resses' Fast Break Candy Bars

Favorite Flower: Daisies

Favorite Drinks: McDonald's Mocha Frappes, Coffee, Milk 2%, Sweet Tea, and Fruit drinks and Ice Water (I do not drink carbonated beverages).
