MEET MRS. DEVANEY
Dear Kindergarten Families,
My name is Billie DeVaney. I'm elated to be your teacher this year!! This will be my ninth year at WCES. I have lived in Clayton for the past thirty years. I am married with three children, three grandchildren and one dog. My favorite color is purple. I love spending time with my family, swimming, writing poetry, animals, chocolate, teaching VBS at my church, and teaching kindergarten! Teaching is my true passion! I believe all children are a gift from God. Each child has a unique gift. As an educator, my goal is to identify and nurture that gift in a safe and stimulating environment. This should be an adventurous and fun-filled year!

Summer meal service will begin Monday, June 1. Curbside meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Benson Middle, Clayton Middle, Four Oaks Elementary, North Johnston Middle, Princeton Elementary, Selma Elementary, Smithfield-Selma High, West Clayton Elementary, and West Smithfield Elementary.
Attention parents of 4-year-olds: Are you interested in your child attending a free preschool program? The NC PreK program is designed to provide 4-year-old children with positive early learning experiences that support their development and prepare them for Kindergarten.
High school students and middle school students enrolled in high school courses will be given an option on how their grade appears on their transcript. Students should complete the form for their school to make their choice.
JCPS high schools will host “modified” traditional graduation ceremonies between Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - Saturday, August 1, 2020. Schools will communicate about specific graduation dates and ceremony times as we get closer to see what restrictions may limit our attendance participation.
There are no upcoming events to display.
