Ms. Tinkia T. Ruffin

Hello I am Ms. Ruffin! I am a North Carolina native, originally from Wilson County. I am a veteran teacher with more than 15 years of classroom experience. I am currently teaching 7th grade math here at SMS! I have previously taught English language arts and social studies as well. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Elizabeth State University in 1999. I obtained my Master of Arts in Middle Grades Education from Gardner Webb University in 2012.

  • What are we learning this week?

     Mon-Tues: MAP diagnostic Testing

    Wed-Thur: We are creating graphic life maps as a prewriting activity for our personal narratives that we will begin writing next week.

    Fri: We will be publishing our life maps to our class google sites and launching our Classcraft teams for the year.

    Next Week:

    We will be learning about the characteristics for writing personal narratives and begin working on our rough drafts.
