Hello, I am Ms. Ruffin! I am a North Carolina native, originally from Wilson County. I am a veteran teacher with more than 20 years of classroom experience. I am currently teaching 8th grade math here at SMS! I have previously taught English Language Arts and Social Studies as well. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Elizabeth State University in 1999. I obtained my Master of Arts in Middle Grades Education from Gardner Webb University in 2012.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
