Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Olive College and a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Campbell University.
I serve Selma Middle School as a School Counselor. I look forward to working with each of you this year. It is my intent to provide a comprehensive counseling program to address concerns and needs in the areas of academics, personal/social, and career development. Components of a comprehensive program include individual counseling, small group sessions, classroom guidance lessons, lunch bunch, organizational skills, conflict resolution, and Social Emotional Learning skills.
During this time of Virtual Learning I will be available for check ins with students and to answer any questions or address any concerns. Feel free to email me or call me and I will respond within 24 hours.
Alittle about me...Married for 24 years to my wonderful husband, mother to a handsome son and beautiful daughter, a sleepy minature dotson, a brown eyed hound, and one mind of his own cat. I love spending time at the beach, watching movies, playing board games, and spending time with my family and friends.

While face masks are still required in all of our indoor facilities, students, staff, and guests of our campuses are no longer required to wear a face covering when outdoors. Students and staff may continue to wear masks when participating in recess or outdoor activities if they choose to do so.
The online application for the Johnston County Public Schools Preschool Program is now available. Parents who are interested in the JCPS Preschool Program are encouraged to apply early, as availability is on a first come, first served basis. The application window closes on June 30th.
Johnston County Public Schools has updated its plan to mark senior milestones, including prom and graduation while adhering to guidance from the Johnston County Public Health Department and the CDC in regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
