Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Child Studies Masters Degree in Math Curriculum and Instruction

Ms. Heidi Meyer

I graduated from East Carolina University in 2010 with an Elementary Education degree with a concentration in Child Studies. I also graduated from N.C. State in 2017 with my Masters in Math Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching at Selma Elementary since 2013, where I taught Kindergarten for two years and have now found a home in 3rd grade. Outside of going to class during the week, I find time to CrossFit. I am a CrossFit coach and also the CrossFit kids coach at 12th State CrossFit in Raleigh. I spend a lot of time with friends and family on the weekends doing anything active/outdoors. I love spending time playing sports, hiking, going to the beach/mountains, reading outdoors, or just spending time with my family.

My family is originally from Chicago but have all moved to the Cary/Apex area. My brother is married and lives in Connecticut with his wife and baby Lauren. My sister and her husband live in Apex with my two nieces, Anabel and Elizabeth. My younger brother is a recent graduate of East Carolina University and he lives in Cary.
