Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Jenny Pitts
Welcome to 8th grade Language Arts. My name is Jenny Pitts and I am super excited for the 2021-2022 school year.
I am a graduate from NC State ( Go Pack!). I have an Associates of Arts and a Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies. I am also AIG certified. This is my 17th year at RMS! For the first 8 years, I taught 6th grade ELA and for the last 9 years I have taught an enhancement called 21st Century Skills. I may already know your child! This year, I have switched to 8th grade ELA and I am really looking forward to the change.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my daughter and my fur baby, walking the runway, thrift store shopping, making short trips to the beach, binge-ing Netflix, or reading a good book. I love sushi and chocolate and I will try any interesting food at least once! I am looking forward to some good conversations with my students. They will be learning a lot from me but I look forward to all that I will learn from them.

I hope to develop good relationships with my students that will sustain us through what might be another crazy, roller coaster riding year.
20- 21 was a year to remember. I am throughly looking forward to the 21-22 school year. Have a great summer.
