Ms. Debra Holmes
Welcome to my classroom! I am thrilled to be your child's 7th Grade ELA teacher this year! This is my 25th year of teaching and my 9th year at RMS. I previously taught grades 4-6 at both Selma Elementary and Selma Middle. I live at Lake Gaston with my husband Todd and cat Daisy. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, attending Canes hockey games (Go Canes!), and of course, curling up with a good book. I am a JoCo girl at heart, having been born and raised in Smithfield, and am a proud graduate of North Johnston High School.
I look forward to working with my students and parents during the 2019-2020 school year!
At this time, all traditional high school graduations are still planned for May 29. Graduation ceremonies for Johnston County Early College Academy and Johnston County Career and Technical Leadership Academy will now take place on May 16th, rather than the original date of May 15th.
The Johnston County Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Tuesday, April 27. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and be held in the Evander Simpson Building in Smithfield.
