Mrs. Cherie Galloway

Hello My Name is Mrs. Galloway

I am Riverwood Middle Schools Business Applications Teacher, teaching the students Keyboarding and Microsoft Applications.  I focus on Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Desktop Publishing and Databases. I have over 20 years of experience in IT and the Business world so I know how critical these applications are for everyone in the workforce. I got started with my education in the US Air Force at 17, earning my AS in Electronics and using it to work on F-4 Wild Weasles.  After the Air Force I moved on to working at Edwards AFB on the B-2 program.  From their I moved on to working in the banking industry as a Unix Systems Administrator, while I finished my BS Degree in Liberal Arts with a Minor in Computer Science.  When I finished my 4 year degree I was able to start teaching and have loved being a teacher ever since.  I am looking forward to a great year working with my students to help them excel in all my classes.

I am a parent of two grown children and have three grand-children who we love to spoil and hand back. My husband and I are avid Pittsburgh Steeler fans and we try to make it to any game we can get tickets for. When not on computers you will find us riding our Harley's, we purchased them in 2015 and love to take rides on the back roads and enjoy scenic North Carolina.
