Mrs. Abrial Gorman

I graduated summa cum laude from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a teaching certificate in Physical Education. I was also a four year letter winner in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor track at ECU and was named outstanding freshman for cross country.  I have taught and coached at the middle school level for 19 years and was honored as middle school coach of the year in 2016-2017.  This is my first year as a Comet.

    Daily Physical Education Schedule

    1st Block: 7:15-8:30

    2nd Block: 8:40-9:52

    3rd Block-10:00-11:10

    Comet Time: 11:17-12:55

    4th Block: 1:03-2:15

     

     

     

     

     

    Class Expectations:

    -Students will be learning physical activities and health material.

    -Students are expected to participate daily in ALL activities

    -Students will be able to use the lockerrooms to dress out year.  Students will be given time at the beginning and end of class to change out.

    -Please bring appropriate clothing for class

            Examples: athletic shoes, athletic shorts (fingertip length) or athletic pants, no low cut shirts (v-neck or scoop neck), clothing items that easily allow for all types of movement

     -Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to school each day to stay hydrated

     

    Grading:

           -students will be graded on health tests/quizes and assignments as well as physical education activities/assignments and participation in all PE activities

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
