Master of Arts in Elementary Education

Mrs. Valorie Trombley

My name is Valorie Trombley and this is my 12th year teaching First Grade, but my 13th year at Riverwood Elementary! I graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. I later decided that my true passion was to be a teacher. I went back to Graduate School at NC State University and obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching. I am so thankful that I had this opportunity to go back to school and pursue a very rewarding career. I truly love my job and enjoy coming to work each day! My husband and I are very blessed to have 3 beautiful children! Abby is 11 years old (in 6th Grade at RMS), Matthew is 8 years old (in 3rd Grade at RES), and Ashlyn is 5 (starting Kindergarten at RES). I am looking forward to a wonderful year in 1st Grade!
