Welcome to SCMS and to the 8th grade. I am so excited that you are in my class and I hope you are ready to learn!! My name is Mrs. Harrington. I am the mom of 4 amazing boys and have a beautiful daughter-in-law (and a new daughter-in-law entering our family next year!). I have a great husband named Steve and 2 dogs, Rocky and Jack.  I moved here from Boston 13 years ago. YES - I am a Patriots fan and Red Sox fan. I have truly grown to love the South though. This is my 3rd year at Swift Creek Middle School. I love teaching school and still get excited every year as the new school year begins. 

I know this year will look very different. Together, we will try to normalize the start of the year as much as possible. The syllabus is below. Please take a moment to review it and then sign the google form attached (under our email addresses). Also, if all students and parents/guardians could sign up for remind I would be very grateful. This is a great way to communicate with me. I have set it up so that you may send me a "text" message directly (please know that what you text can only be seen by me).  Lastly, I have placed the google classroom codes below for you to join google classroom as well as the Google Meet codes which will be how you join the class for our face to face (virtual) classes.

I can not wait to meet each of you virtually (many of you already know me from 6th grade ♥ ).

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
