I am so please to be teaching ELA (English/Language Arts) and social studies on the 5th grade team this year! This will be my sixth year teaching this grade - my favorite.
I am originally from southern California. It is there that I went to college, meet my husband, and started my family and teaching career. In 1997, North Carolina became my new home. My husband and I just love living in Clayton. Besides teaching and hanging out with kids, I like to walk on the beach, decorate, garden, and eat out at wonderful restaurants. In addition, I am a pastor, along with my husband, at a local church. My kids are all grown and I just entered the wonderful world of grandparenting. Pictured with me is my precious granddaughter.
I look forward to the year ahead. I pray we all stay safe and healthy and have lots of opportunities to learn and enjoy one another!
