Mrs. Amber Smith

Hello! My name is Mrs. Amber Smith and I teach Third Grade here at Riverwood Elementary School. Go Rams! I am native to Clayton and now live here with my wonderful family of four. I always knew I wanted to work with children, ever since I was a little girl. I got my start as a counselor with the YMCA at age 16 and then went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a degree in Elementary Education. After getting my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, I went on to teach grades K, 1, 3, and 4. This will be my 15th year teaching and I hope there will be many more years! I love it and I can't wait to meet my new group of kiddos this year!
