Johnston County School Board voted for students to return to school under Plan B stating Monday, February 1st. Our teachers will be contacting you to make sure you know which cohort your child is in. If your child is in cohort 1, they will attend school on Mondays and Tuesdays. If your child is in cohort 2, they will attend school on Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will be a remote learning day for all of our students for a deep cleaning of the building. Mr. Jewett will be doing another parent information video next week to talk about what instruction on Plan B will look like for our students.
Carpool Reminders:You can use both lanes in our two lane road as you enter our carpool to help balance out the line. We want to make sure we do not have any cars out on Buffalo Rd. Mr. Jewett will be at the top helping to direct traffic and alternating the cars; so if you see one line is longer than the other, you can switch lanes carefully to balance out the lines.
For our kindergarten families who have students returning for face-to-face instruction, our cohort 1 students will be coming to school on Monday, October 5th and Tuesday, October 6th. Our cohort 2 students will be coming to school on Thursday, October 8th and Friday, October 9th. For families driving your students to school, our drop-off begins at 8:30am. We will be taking student temperatures before they exit the vehicle. Some of our kindergarten staff did an amazing job putting together a video of what that process is going to look like.
Johnston County Public Schools invites students and their families to learn more about our interesting options for our middle and high school students during our Virtual Information Nights on January 28 and February 4, 2021. Participants will be able to visit the virtual spaces for each program and talk with program coordinators and students from 6:00-8:00 pm.
