Mrs. Durr-Anayiotos

Art Teacher
I have been working at River Dell Elementary since 2013. I taught in Cumberland County, 3 years as an Assistant Teacher and 2 years as an Art Teacher. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art with a major in Painting. Lived in Cyprus for 5 years and taught Art as well as worked with High School students in English Conversation. Before moving to Cyprus I lived in NYC for 7 years learning, teaching and working with many artist in Papermaking. Have had numerous art shows in NYC as well as overseas.

Mission

Is to get every student thinking outside the box in Art.  There are NO mistakes in Art just creative ideas.  If you know how to draw a straight line, a curved line then you are on your way to creating a masterpiece.  Students will learn about art from other countries, understanding the Elements of Art and the Principals of Design vocabulary, all while they are creating and having FUN!  I will be incorporating other subjects while they are working on their projects.  I will have the honor of seeing the students a week at a time.  This will help students to get the full picture and understanding of the how, why, the where and when of ART.

I am Truly Living the Dream when it comes to teaching your students and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year!

  • Missing or Damaged Library Books

Every summer many students go off on vacation before turning in all of their library books. We encourage students and their families to bring in missing library books over the summer as soon as the items are found to prevent possible loss or damage and to allow the media center to complete the end-of-the-year inventory. Click here to view your library account status to see if you have any overdue/missing items.

  • Awards & EOG Information

Please follow theses procedures to help with parking and traffic in the front of our building run smoother. If you are picking your child up in carpool, please do not line up before 3:15pm. This will allow our parents who are coming to the 2pm performance and grade level awards to leave and not be blocked in by cars lining up for carpool. Also, if you are coming to a performance and grade level award presentation, please do not park in the back bus parking lot; you will need to park at the front of the school and come in to get a visitor pass. And finally, I wanted to let all of the parents of our 3rd through 5th grade students. You will receive information about EOG scores in writing no later than this Wednesday, May 22nd.
