Do whatever projects you would like and I will be posting more. These projects that I will be posting are all additional, if you have any questions please email me and I will get back to you within the hour. Remember use whatever art materials you may have around the house. If you don't have blank white paper, then use the back of copy paper that maybe has already been used. Magazine, paperbags, cardboard from boxes, shoe boxes anything that is ok with your parents to draw on. If you just don't want to do the projects that I posted at least try to make a sketch book to have as a journal of your experience of schooling at home. Draw how you feel, maybe of your siblings or of your parents, maybe an animal that you have at home. Take a walk outside your house draw a tree, flower, a bug or here is a chanllenge how about drawing your house! Make whatever you draw interesting and with lots of details. Be safe!
Dear Students, While we are not in school I have posted some ideas and videos for you to review. The upper grades (3rd-5th) you can do all of them if you so choose. (K-2nd) if you are up for the challenge you may try and work on the (3rd-5th) materials as well. PLEASE make your sketchbook first, which can be found on the General Art Projects page, and then you can start working!

Is to get every student thinking outside the box in Art. There are NO mistakes in Art just creative ideas. If you know how to draw a straight line, a curved line then you are on your way to creating a masterpiece. Students will learn about art from other countries, understanding the Elements of Art and the Principals of Design vocabulary, all while they are creating and having FUN! I will be incorporating other subjects while they are working on their projects. I will have the honor of seeing the students a week at a time. This will help students to get the full picture and understanding of the how, why, the where and when of ART.

We are going to have our rising Kindergarten parent meeting on Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30 p.m. This will be a virtual meeting. Mr. Jewett will do a Facebook Live event discussing what to expect for kindergarten and how you can help your child be ready for the first days of school. This will be great information if this is your first child in our kindergarten program.
New lessons for the next 10 days are available through the bit.ly/jcpshome site. We have put dates at the top of the lesson document to help make it easier to know what day each lesson is for. Each grade level has posted lessons starting with Monday, May 4th and going through Friday, May 15th. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher. Printed packets for families without internet will be available starting Monday, May 4th. They will be in a cabinet with drawers at the front entrance. Look for your child's grade level and take a packet located in that drawer. They will be available all week, so you can come at your convenience.
If you were not able to come to school prior to spring break and pick up your child's books and materials, you can do that on Monday, April 27th or Tuesday, April 28th between 5pm and 8pm. If you also were not able to pick up a device that you had requested through your child's teacher, you can pick that up during that time as well. We will also have packets available for lessons 11 through 20 for families that do not have internet access. If you need a packet because you do not have internet, please contact your child's teacher so they can get us the number of copies we need to print. You can pick up those packets next Monday, April 27th or Tuesday, April 28th between 5pm and 8pm as well.
