Mrs. Durr-Anayiotos
Art Teacher
I have been working at River Dell Elementary since 2013. I taught in Cumberland County, 3 years as an Assistant Teacher and 2 years as an Art Teacher. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art with a major in Painting. Lived in Cyprus for 5 years and taught Art as well as worked with High School students in English Conversation. Before moving to Cyprus I lived in NYC for 7 years learning, teaching and working with many artist in Papermaking. Have had numerous art shows in NYC as well as overseas.
Mission
Is to get every student thinking outside the box in Art. There are NO mistakes in Art just creative ideas. If you know how to draw a straight line, a curved line then you are on your way to creating a masterpiece. Students will learn about art from other countries, understanding the Elements of Art and the Principals of Design vocabulary, all while they are creating and having FUN! I will be incorporating other subjects while they are working on their projects. I will have the honor of seeing the students a week at a time. This will help students to get the full picture and understanding of the how, why, the where and when of ART.
I am Truly Living the Dream when it comes to teaching your students and look forward to the 2021-2022 school year!
