Mrs. Melissa Wilson

This is my 9th year teaching at River Dell Elementary school. This will be the 2nd year that I will be teaching in the Cross Categorical classroom, grades Kindergarten through 5th. I taught the K-5 AU classroom from 2009-2016 at RDE. Prior to teaching at River Dell I taught at BOCES in Westhampton, NY. I attended St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, NY and received a Bachelor's Degree in Child Study in 2006. In 2007, I received a Master's Degree in Severe and Profound Disabilities from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY. My goal as an educator is to prepare my students to be independent as possible, as well as socially, academically, and behaviorally successful in school, at home, and in their communities.
