Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Margie Riedel
I am excited to be your child's second grade teacher this year! This is my tenth year teaching second grade at River Dell Elementary, and my 19th year teaching. I previously taught in NJ as a literacy remediation teacher for kindergarten through second grade, and as a first grade classroom teacher for 8 years. I am a graduate of Susquehanna University, a small Liberal Arts college in Selinsgrove, PA. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Psychology emphasis. Through the years I have had the opportunity to learn from experts in the educational field, including Donald Graves, Bobbi Fisher, Lucy Caulkins, Diane Snowball, and Mem Fox. My goal is help your child be an active learner, inspire your son or daughter to set high expectations for his/her learning, and have a successful, enriching experience in second grade.
