Mrs. Cheryl Brown

My name is Cheryl Brown and I am blessed to teach Fourth Grade ELA and Social Studies at River Dell. I obtained a BA degree in English Education from the University of South Carolina and an MA degree in Elementary Education from Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. I have been teaching for 14 years and my experience includes secondary English as well as 1st - 5th grades.  I am passionate about teaching, and I love working with parents and students to help them achieve success and foster a love for reading that will last for a lifetime. Reading grows well rounded individuals and builds the foundation for success in all subject areas. I believe that all students can and should enjoy learning, and I seek to provide rich, engaging experiences to guide them on their journey.

When I'm not teaching I enjoy spending time with family, serving in my church, singing, reading, and cuddling my crazy dog, Kramer.
