This is my nineteenth year teaching and each year just keeps getting better! I teach fourth grade language arts and social studies, and have the most amazing students! I learn something from them each day, and hope they do from me as well! I believe we can have fun while learning and look forward to an exciting year! I am a graduate of Meredith College (which makes me an angel:)) and any former student will tell you I am a Mountain Dew gal! I am married to my husband Bo. We have two daughters, one of whom teaches at Princeton as well, and another daughter who works in Raleigh. I have four beautiful grandchildren who are the joy of my life! In my free time I go to our beach house and rest and visit with friends. I love to read and play games on my computer.

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
As students in grades K-5 begin returning to school, the curbside locations for free meals will now be located at each middle and high school. The curbside meal locations at our elementary schools will end on Friday, Oct. 2 and will open at the middle and high schools on Monday, Oct. 5.
The Johnston County Board of Education approved a back to school plan at a special called session on Thursday, Sept. 25.
