I am excited to begin my 23rd year of teaching first grade! First grade is so important, as it is the year to concentrate on learning to read. That is one reason I love first grade so much-I LOVE teaching reading! I have spent all my teaching career at Princeton Elementary! I am married and have a son who is in the eleventh grade. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, working in my flower garden, and reading! I look forward to an awesome year in first grade!!

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
