Mrs. Barber
I am Bonnie Barber. I am looking forward to being a part of your child’s school year. Together we will develop a love for learning. Throughout this year we will be on an amazing journey which will help build a foundation for becoming a lifelong learner. Together we will be learning how to read; write; work with numbers; explore & ask questions & always try to do our very best.
I have lived in Princeton most of my life. I graduated from ECU in 1986 and I received my Master Degree from Campbell University in 2008. In 1990, I married my high school sweetheart, Dr. Joseph Barber. We have a son, Caleb, who is a senior at ECU this year. We decided after Caleb was born that I would stay home with him and also take care of my mother. I have been teaching school for 23 years. In my early years of teaching, I was a reading specialist. After eight years of staying home with Caleb, I went back to teaching. I fell in love with Kindergarten. This year I am excited about teaching 1st grade because of my love for reading.
I look forward to working with you & your “shining” star!
It is going to a 5 Star year!
