Welcome to Powhatan Elementary School. My name is Wendy Thomas. This is my 21st year teaching Kindergarten in Johnston County. I graduated from Meredith College in 2000 with a degree in Early Childhood Development. (Go Angels!!) I am happily married to my high school sweet heart Dustin and have three awesome kids. Lee is a sophmore in college, Will is a sophmore in High School, and Skylar is in the 6th grade. I love spending time with my family, taking care of my cows, and reading. I am looking forward to a moo-velous year helping your child grow and learn!

Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23
We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.

2022 Growth Needs Update
Johnston County Public Schools Chief of Facilities and Construction Brooks Moore presented the 2022 Growth Needs Update to the Johnston County Board of Education at their March meeting.
