Welcome to Powhatan Elementary School. My name is Wendy Thomas. This is my 19th year teaching Kindergarten in Johnston County. I graduated from Meredith College in 2000 with a degree in Early Childhood Development. (Go Angels!!)  I am happily married to my high school sweet heart Dustin and have three awesome kids. Lee is a high school senior, Will is in 8th grade, and Skylar is in 4th grade. I love spending time with my family, taking care of my cows, and reading. I am looking forward to a moo-velous year helping your child grow and learn!

    August 30 ~ Parents contacted by their child's teacher

    September 4 ~ Open House 10:00am and 1:00pm

    September 5 ~ Half of the students come to school for their 1st day

    September 6 ~ The other half of students come for their 1st day

    September 9 ~ All Kindergarten students come to school

    September 13 ~ PTA meeting and Movie Night at 6:30pm

    September 18 ~ PTA Spirit Night at Culvers

    September 20 ~ Scholastic book order due

    September 27 ~ Early Release at 1:30

    September 30 ~ Fall Picture Day
