    Week 1

    ​Reading - Practice reading familiar books

    Writing - Opinion Writing

     W1.1 Writes opinion pieces- introduces topics, names the book, states the opinion, supplies a reason for the opinion and provides a sense of closure.

    With 1st Grade Sentences (capital letters/punctuation/adding adjectives)

    ​Math - Fact Families/Flip Flop Facts

    1.OA.3 Understand and apply properties of operations (accoc. - 3 numerals and comm. Properties- fact families).

    Science/Social Studies - Arctic Animals/Environment

     

    Week 2

    Spelling - CVC short vowel review with digraphs

    List 1 - Grip, glob, that, chat, shop, drum, much, shut, cost, scab, chin, twin

    List 2 - shack, slush, chomp, notch, crash, crunch, think, brush, champ, switch, thing, pinch

    ​Reading - Compare & Contrast (venn diagram/double bubble)

    1.OA.7 Analyze add/sub equations within 20 applying understanding of the equal sign.
