Mrs. Melissa Hill
Hello
For those parents and students who don't know me, my name is Melissa Hill and I am one of the Instructional Support teachers at Powhatan Elementary School. I am entering into my 25nd year of teaching. The 2022-23 school year will be my 15th year teaching at Powhatan Elementary School. Before I came to Powhatan, I worked at Rand Road Elementary School in Garner for 8 years . My first year out of college I taught high school at Sanderson High in Raleigh. I have also been a Girl Scout leader for the past 12 years.
I live in Clayton with my husband of 24 years , 2 daughters, Golden Retriever- Rylee and Maine Coon cat- Oreo. My oldest daughter is a Junior at UNCW and our youngest daughter will be a 10 th grader this school year.
It is my goal this year to help your child to be independent, organized and to be successful across all settings.
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year working with your child and family.
Mrs. Melissa Hill
