Mrs. Courtney Gates

Hello and welcome to my page! I am Courtney Gates, third grade teacher at Powhatan. This is my fourth year teaching here at Powhatan and I couldn't be more excited. I graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. GO PACK! Besides rooting on the Wolfpack, I spend my time outside of school with my husband, family, friends, and three precious kitties that I love with all my heart! I cannot wait to see what this year brings for me and my new friends :)

  • Updated Social Distancing Procedures

Information on social distancing in school settings has been recently updated by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). Upon receiving information from the NCDHHS, we consulted with the Johnston County Public Health Department on the impact these updates will have on our school system. This ongoing collaboration continues to guide our decision-making as students return to classrooms for in-person instruction.
