Things to know about Mrs. White...

-This is my 14th year teaching

-I have lived in JoCo my entire life!

-I am a product of Johnston County Public Schools! (Glendale-Kenly, North Johnston Middle, North Johnston High)

-I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and went to college at East Carolina University

-I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Certification (K-12)

-I also have a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology (K-12)

-I taught Kindergarten for 3 years before coming to NJMS

-I taught 21st Century Skills (6th-8th grades) and was the school's technology facilitator for 10 years prior to this school year

-This is my first year teaching 7th Grade ELA and Math but I am excited to learn right along with my students!

School Announcements

  • NJMS School Dance

    There will be a School Dance after school on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 3:15-5:15 PM in the gym.  Admission to the dance is $5.00. Concession items will be sold. Only NJMS sixth through eighth grade students can attend the dance.

  • Winter Band and Chorus Concerts

    Please mark your calendar for the upcoming Band and Chorus Winter Concerts in December! Join the NJMS Community as we enjoy the talent of our students at these events. The Chorus Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 6th, and the Band Concert will be held on Thursday, December 8th. Both concerts will begin at 6:30 pm in the NJMS gym.

  • NJMS Winter Toy Drive

    NJMS will be hosting a Winter Toy Drive during the home basketball game against Selma on Wednesday, December 14th. The girls' game starts at 4:15 PM. One new and unwrapped toy will provide one free admission for any guest.

JCPS Announcements

  • JCPS to implement state-of-the-art security systems

    At the November Regular Session Board of Education meeting, the Board voted unanimously to improve safety and security in Johnston County Public Schools by implementing state-of-the-art security systems in each of the district’s schools.

  • Updated School Nutrition Information for 2022-23

    We hope that you and your student have already noticed some of the exciting new food and  meal opportunities we are offering in our cafeterias this school year. Our new options will include more fresh produce, vegetarian options, and opportunities for students to customize their meal choice. These new offerings will be available at both breakfast and lunch.
